Mediation and Drafting of Settlement Agreements and/or Parenting Plans
Mediation is a process whereby parents involved in divorce proceedings are seeking an amicable and cost-effective solution to maintain healthy relationships with their children after the divorce. In order to achieve this objective, parents meet with a mediator, who assists them in devising a workable care and contact plan/parenting plan. Once both parents are satisfied that the parenting plan is age appropriate and fulfils the needs and wishes, expressed by the child, the parenting plan is finalised, signed and forwarded to the respective attorneys for incorporation into the divorce settlement.
